CHAPTER 8 - RUNNING REPORTS
Chapter Summary:
EnterMedia keeps detailed logs on the usage of the system. This information includes who has logged in to the system, what terms users search for, which assets they download, and any changes made to the meta-data of the assets. The Reports tab gives you a way to view this data. By default, only members of the administrator group will have access to the Reports tab.
TO VIEW A REPORT:
1. Click the Reports tab in the header bar. By default this required administrator permissions.

2. Click the type of Report you wish to view. The types of reports are described below.
3. Report results are separated by Catalog.
4. Use the "Forward" and "Back" links to view additional pages of information for a particular catalog, where available.
5. Report information can be exported as a CSV file for use in outside spreadsheet software. To do this, just click the "CSV Export" link for the information you want.
TYPES OF REPORTS:
Downloads ->

This report will give you information about which assets are being downloaded by your users. It will display the following information:
1. Which user downloaded a file.
2. What file that user downloaded.
3. The status of the download. Anything other than "success" may indicate a problem with that file.
4. The date of the download.
User Searches ->

This report will give you information about the search queries your users are executing. It will display the following information:
1. Which user ran the search.
2. The search query that was executed.
3. The number of results, or "hits", returned by the search query.
4. The date that the search was executed.
User Edits ->

This report will give you information about who is editing records and the changes they have made. It will display the following information:
1. Which user made the edit.
2. The ID/Name of the record that was edited.
3. The changes made. This is in the format of "{field name}: {old value} -> {new value}"
4. The date of the edit.
User Authentication ->

This report will give you information about which users are accessing the system. It will display the following information:
1. The user who attempted to be authenticated.
2. The action taken. Examples are "login", "logout", and "invalid password".
3. The date of the authentication action.
