DAM for Rich Media Content

Suppose I have arround 10000 Hrs of  video (Standard Definition) SD Content available on Beta Tapes. I want to do the following

  • Digitize it in a low and high resolution format simultaneously.
  • Tag all of it .May be Micro-Tag it.
  • Catalogue it.
  • Make it online.
  • Say if it requires arround 500 TB of Storage. How to I do it.
  • Do I needs to build a data centre to keep that data online at all the time.
  • If yes, who will integrate it for me. The hardware and the Software i.e. the complete solution.\

Vinay,

Most of this is really completely out of our areas of expertise.  Once you had digitized all of your videos, you could use OpenEdit to catalog and tag those videos.  However, converting from Beta to digital and setting up 500TB of storage space is not something we can help you with.

Just out of curiosity, what is your 10,000 hours of video on Beta tapes about?  And how are you storing 10,000 Beta tapes?!?
