It appears that no matter what settings we apply within Entermedia we cannot
seem to get the API to return results in any other sort order other than
Last Modified - Ascending (most recent last). Is there any way for us to
change API sort order options?

These most recent issues are high priority. Primedia is launching in a
few weeks and it would really be helpful to have these items resolved.
