Single File Upload

The EnterMedia application can be populated with audio, video, image, document and other files. These assets must be uploaded by an approved user or administrator using one of our three upload methods. We designed each tool to target a specific user group so it can be as simple or as powerful as necessary.

The single file upload tool was designed for simplicity and speed. To access this feature click on the  'Upload Media' button on the top navigation bar. The upload page can be customized based on your preferences. The fields of information that are required or suggested can be changed in settings area. In some cases, information can be generated automatically. This process will be covered in greater detail in the documentation dedicated to metadata.

On the upload page, click the 'Browse' button to locate the file you want to upload. Once you have selected the content you have an opportunity to label the file with metadata that will make the asset easier to find when other users perform a search. It is recommended, though not required, that each asset be labeled upon entry into EnterMedia. This will help ensure that assets are not lost among a mass of unmarked files.

Once your asset has been uploaded, you will be redirected to a page where the asset will be processed and then added to the library. The file can then be searched for by users. Depending on the security and permissions settings of the user, they can then interact with the asset by commenting, downloading, emailing or sharing it through social networking sites.
